Out On A Limerick. 16

When each new issue of Straylight magazine is released, the editor-in-chief, Dean Karpowicz, calls for a party, usually at his house and his expense. And always, this publishing party is a marvelous and sumptuous affair. The food is great, but excellent too is the interaction between faculty members who were part of the literary journal’s success and the student interns who performed the services that got the journal so professionally published, so . they can talk from the high promontory of the literary journal’s wonderful success, for they have behaved so professionally that their work–the current issue of Straylight

The Pizza Party

I went to a party last night
And the guests were so nice and polite
And the hostess and host
could easily boast
that their pizza was perfectly right.
.
.

My colleagues were quite clever.
And the staff was forever
In a sort of frenzy
Cause this was the endsy
Of a strong and lit’ry endeavor.

For they face what graduates face
A kick in the teeth, then mace.
But whatever occurs
Each one concurs
That once, in Straylight, they had a fine place.
